Digital ID Integration Expands

  • June 06, 2025

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) announced today the successful integration of the UAE Pass digital identity platform into an expanded suite of government and private sector services. This marks a significant step in the nation's digital transformation agenda, aimed at creating a seamless and secure digital ecosystem for residents and citizens.Effective immediately, residents will find that accessing services related to traffic fines, certain healthcare records, and specific municipal applications now requires authentication via their registered UAE Pass account. This builds upon previous integrations in areas like banking and telecommunications.Officials stated that the enhanced integration improves security and privacy by reducing the need for physical documentation and multiple login credentials. It is also expected to significantly cut down transaction times at service centers and online portals.Residents who have not yet activated their UAE Pass or need to update their information are encouraged to do so promptly to avoid disruptions when accessing these newly integrated services. Support centers and online tutorials are available to assist users through the transition. The move is seen as a key enabler for future smart city initiatives and digital government strategies.
