Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a major expansion of its driverless metro network, adding new lines and stations to connect emerging residential and business districts. The expansion project, dubbed "Metro Vision 2030," will see the addition of two new lines and extensions to existing lines, significantly expanding the reach of the Dubai Metro. The new lines will serve areas including Dubai South, Silicon Oasis, and the Expo City area, improving connectivity and reducing traffic congestion."This ambitious project reflects our commitment to providing world-class public transportation and enhancing the quality of life for our residents," said the Chairman of the RTA. Construction is expected to begin later this year, with phased openings planned over the next few years.
